These are the Program Terms for AutoPay and paperless billing described in Article VI of our Standard Terms and Conditions. They're part of your agreement with Western Waste Haulers, Inc. If anything here conflicts with Article VI, these Program Terms control the day-to-day program details, and the Standard Terms control everything else, including what you owe, defaults and termination.
Paperless Billing
- Automatic enrollment. Every account is enrolled in paperless billing when the Service Order is signed.
- How invoices arrive. We email each invoice to the billing email address on your Service Order. Invoices also include notice of any change to your services, rates, surcharges or other charges.
- What you need. An email address you check regularly and a device that can receive and read email.
- Keep your email current. Tell us right away if your billing email changes. We aren't responsible for invoices or notices that don't reach you because of an outdated address or spam filtering, and late fees still apply.
- Paper invoices. You can opt out of paperless billing at any time (see Changing or Canceling). Paper invoices are mailed and carry a $5.00 Administrative Charge per invoice.
AutoPay
- Who it's for. AutoPay is optional, except that Month-to-Month accounts must stay enrolled while service continues (Article IV).
- Accepted payment methods. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards, or a checking or savings account (ACH).
- How to enroll. Complete our Payment Authorization Form for a card or bank account, or enroll through your online account.
- When we draft. We charge the full invoice balance on the invoice due date. If the due date falls on a weekend or bank holiday, a bank account draft may occur on the next business day.
- What we draft. The full amount on each invoice, including service charges, additional charges, surcharges and taxes. The amount can change from invoice to invoice; your emailed invoice is your notice of each amount before it's drafted.
- Charges between invoices. Charges due at the time of service and additional charges, like an extra pickup, may be charged to your card on file when they're assessed. You'll get an emailed receipt.
- Questions before the draft. If something on an invoice looks wrong, call us before the due date and we'll review it. Billing disputes must be raised within 90 days of the invoice date (Article V(e)).
Convenience Fees
No convenience fee currently applies to AutoPay payments by card or bank account. If we add one, we'll post it here and give you at least 30 days' written notice first. Any card fee will follow card network rules and won't apply to debit cards.
Declined or Returned Payments
- We email you. If an AutoPay payment is declined or returned, we'll email you the same business day or the next.
- We retry once. We'll try the payment again about five days later, unless you've updated your payment method or paid another way first.
- Returned-payment fee. A $25.00 fee applies once to each invoice whose AutoPay payment is declined or returned.
- If the retry fails, AutoPay is canceled and you'll need to pay the balance another way. Late fees under Article V(b) may apply, and service may be suspended after 10 days' written notice of a past-due balance.
- Re-enrolling. You have 30 days from our notice to re-enroll before the paper-invoice Administrative Charge waiver ends (Article V(j)). Month-to-Month accounts must re-enroll to keep service.
Keep your card or bank details current. Update an expiring card before it expires to avoid a declined payment.
Changing or Canceling
- Change your payment method, cancel AutoPay or opt out of paperless billing through your online account or by calling (520) 724-1449.
- Timing. Changes take effect once we process them. To stop or change an upcoming draft, contact us at least three business days before the due date.
- What canceling doesn't do. Canceling AutoPay or paperless billing doesn't end your Service Order or reduce what you owe. Charges incurred before cancellation may still be drafted.
Administrative Charge Waiver
A $5.00 Administrative Charge applies to each paper invoice. It's waived while you're enrolled in both AutoPay and paperless billing (Article V(i) and (j)). See Additional Services & Fees for all current charges.
Changes to These Program Terms
We may change or discontinue AutoPay or paperless billing by updating these Program Terms and giving you written notice, which may be by email (Article VI(e)). Changes are posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and material changes take effect no sooner than 30 days after notice.
